Transline Aims For Top Entrepreneur Title

HALIFAX, U.K. - May 16, 2013 - PRLog -- The founding partners of one of Yorkshire’s most successful businesses are in line for further  national recognition after being nominated for the prestigious ‘ Ernst and Young UK Entrepreneur of the Year’ award.

Paul Beasley and Jon Taylor set up The Transline Group – a specialist recruiter of industrial, driving and technical staff – in 1989.

With virtually no start-up capital and working from a two man office in Halifax, they have since  gone on to build the business into a £70m turnover enterprise – employing nearly 200 staff directly and supplying around 6000  supply chain personnel every day to some of the country’s biggest retailers, logistics organisations, industrial manufacturers and IT sector companies.

The Group now operates from over 80 regional offices and in the past two years has also extended its global reach –with new operations established in Ireland, Spain, throughout Eastern Europe and in Canada.

Earlier this week Joint Managing Directors Paul and Jon attended a regional reception and ‘masterclass’ for nominated entrants who, according to the judges each display, “A passion and drive behind their entrepreneurial business across all commercial and industrial sectors.

“The award recognises talent at any stage of a business’s development and identifies a range of skills created through your entrepreneurial spirit.”

The distinguished panel of judges, drawn from a cross section of British business, is led by Sir Nigel Rudd, Chairman, BAA and Invensys, who says: “I have been involved in creating and leading businesses over many years and believe strongly we should celebrate great entrepreneurs and encourage others to follow in their footsteps. I am delighted to be judging this year’s awards – particularly at a time when the vision of the UK’s entrepreneurs in innovating and exporting throughout the downturn is more important than ever.”

The overall winner of UK title will be announced in October- and then automatically qualify for the World Entrepreneur of the Year, staged in Monte Carlo in June 2014.

Speaking at the reception for regional nominees, Transline Group’s Paul Beasley said: “We are extremely proud to have been considered for this major award since it not only recognises Jon and I, but also reflects on all the hard work and commitment of a great team of people who have helped us build a strong and successful business – despite the many and varied challenges presented by a tough UK and global  economy.

The Transline Group is no stranger to awards success. It has won a string of top honours in the recruitment industry and in 2012 was named the UK’s ‘Most Outstanding Outsourced Recruitment Organisation.’

In January of 2013 it was accredited as the fastest growing company in its specific industry sectors in the Recruiter ‘Fast 50’ awards and the 10th fastest growing recruitment company in the recruitment industry overall.

To accommodate this exponential growth, the Transline Group is about to complete the move from its current Halifax headquarters into a new, stand alone, two storey Victorian mansion and coach house, ‘Stoneleigh’ in nearby Brighouse.
