The Redesigned 2014 Hyundai Tucson Unveiled in South Korea

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - May 16, 2013 - PRLog -- The 2014 Hyundai Tucson has already started making appearances in the South Korean auto market as well as at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. There’s no official word as to when Indiana drivers can get an up close glance at the redesigned 2014 Hyundai Tucson, also referred to as the ix35 in the Korean and European markets, but they can still take the 2013 Hyundai Tucson out for a test drive at Shaffer Hyundai in Merrillville.

The exterior of the compact, 5-seat SUV crossover has been redesigned to make it more eye-catching and inspiring. Indiana drivers can expect to see a sharper nose with chromed slats similar to that of the Hyundai Santa Fe, new LED headlights and tail lights, and updated alloy wheels. This fun to drive and easy to handle crossover is sure to turn more heads on the road than ever before!

It doesn’t look like there’s going to be any change to the 2014 Hyundai Tucson’s 2.0L GDI engine; it will still deliver an output of 165 hp and 146 lb-ft of torque. However, customers also have the option of the 2.0L turbo diesel engine that delivers an impressive 182 hp while still maintaining its fuel efficiency. The turbo diesel engine will most likely bump out the 2.4L four-cylinder that is currently optional on upper trim levels of the 2013 Tucson, since it will deliver better power and fuel economy.

There’s no official word as to changes or upgrades in the interior of the redesigned 2014 Hyundai Tucson, but the 2013 Hyundai Tucson has already scored high marks with consumers when it comes to interior comfort and style. The 2013 Hyundai Tucson is currently available in GL, GLS, and Limited trim levels, with features like Bluetooth, touchscreen navigation system, and a rearview camera available on upper trim levels. Perhaps some of these premium features will be available in the base GL model in the 2014 Tucson.
