By: SRS Tech PR Just as Wall St. traders with inside knowledge don’t want to share it with everyone, ultra-competitive parents from affluent communities are often tight-lipped about how their daughter got an “A” in Calculus class or how their son aced his SAT or GMAT. It is a competitive world out there. Many parents hire tutors but do not tell their kid’s teachers or share what they are doing with other parents. Is hiring a top rated tutor an unfair advantage? Many families cannot afford or even find quality tutors. There are lots of inexpensive or free homework helpers that call themselves tutors but even though they are well meaning and helpful, they don’t have the chops or the training to truly understand and identify WHY a student is having problems – and if they don’t understand, they surely cannot provide the effective help needed. If you are interested, I would be happy to set up a call with Mark Kronenberg, Founder of Math 1-2-3 – the top Math Tutoring company in the New York area. http://www.math123.com With over 18 years experience in the tutoring business, Mark can explain the pros and cons of hiring a tutor. FYI – many parents are satisfied to see their student getting some help provided by the school or volunteers – not realizing that they are essentially being assisted by a “homework helper” not a real tutor who understands the best ways to help a student learn as well as to prepare for tests.
