The Honda Canada Foundation Gives Back to Communities Across the Country

MEDICINE HAT, Alberta - May 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Sun Valley Honda in Medicine Hat (http://www.sunvalleyhonda.ca/new-inventory/) is a certified Honda Canada dealer, and is proud to be a part of the Honda Canada Foundation, which was created to increase corporate social responsibility by contributing money to Canadian organizations that better their respective communities. Along with a focus on youth, the Honda Canada Foundation has four key values they keep in mind when deciding which organizations to help: education, environment, engineering, and safety.

One of the groups that the Honda Canada Foundation has been assisting for a long time is the Earth Rangers, a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to giving youth the tools they need to help protect Canadian wildlife. With the goal of educating and inspiring children to go green and preserve the Canadian wilderness for generations to come, the Honda Canada Foundation has been able to make some key transportation contributions to the Earth Rangers in recent years. Among the recent donations that help get the Earth Rangers around were three new Honda Odyssey minivans, one Honda Ridgeline truck, and two Honda Insight Hybrid cars.

Another organization the Honda Canada Foundation has provided active support to is Let’s Talk Science, an award-winning nationwide Canadian non-profit organization committed to bringing passion for science to youth throughout the country. Thanks to funding from the Honda Canada Foundation, Let’s Talk Science was recently able to provide over 1,000 free, hands-on science activities to 30,000 Canadian youth. The work of Let’s Talk Science helps to bridge the gap in the hard sciences and bring children and youth from coast to coast the education and engagement with science, engineering, and technology that they need to be ready for 21st century employment and life.
