Las Vegas Selected to Host the First US Mind Sports Festival

May 15, 2013 - PRLog -- International Mind Sports event management and consultancy, Mind Sports (International) Ltd, brings its successful and collaborative Mind Sports Festival to the USA for the first time, descending on the bright lights of Las Vegas.

Taking place at the luxurious Venetian®|Palazzo® Congress Center from July 5 – 7, and featuring competitive games such as Chess, Scrabble, Mah Jongg, Magic: the Gathering, GO and Checkers, the festival is set to attract mind sports enthusiasts from all over the country to compete in a fun tournament atmosphere, all under one roof.

As part of the Las Vegas festival, viewers from all corners of the world will be able to watch the action as it unfolds live online. Mind Sports TV will be broadcasting from a number of the events, including regular live streaming of the Scrabble tournament thanks to the world famous RFID Scrabble system developed by Mind Sports (International) last year.

In addition to the Mind Sports Festival event, attendees and visitors will also get to experience the amazing entertainment that Las Vegas has to offer, most notably Carnevale, the spectacular summer celebration event hosted by The Venetian®|The Palazzo® Hotel Resort and Casino.

Prior to coming to Las Vegas, Mind Sports (International) has already hosted festivals in the beautiful cities of Prague, Vienna and Marbella, attracting a core following of some of the world’s most notable mind sports players.

As part of its new ‘festival season’ structure, the company plans to host eight festivals split between North America and Europe each year, and a series of four festivals across the rest of the world, in locations such as India, Malaysia, China, Thailand and Australia.
