It will take less than 30 minutes to make your own fresh pasta. Just think how impressed your family and friends will be.

The automatic Lello pasta makers come in two sizes. The small size, model 2200, has the capacity to make roughly 2 pounds of pasta. The larger size, model 3000, has the capacity to make roughly 3 pounds of pasta. No matter which size you choose, keep in mind that the fresh pasta can be frozen. Both models come with pasta discs; model 2200 comes with 6 and model 3000 comes with 8. Safety instructions and a recipe booklet with over 30 recipes are included. Other pasta discs are sold separately. Neither model is large in side, so they sit on the counter without taking up all the space.

How easy is it to operate the pasta maker?

So how do the Lello pasta makers work? Operation instructions are included with the machine. However it is a simple producer. Select the pasta recipe that you want to make and the pasta disc you want to use. Locate the mixing bowl and add your ingredients. It is important to measure the ingredients accurately or the pasta may not turn out as expected. Next is a matter of finding the on and off switch and turning the machine on. That is it. Your pasta maker takes over from there. Once your pasta is ready to be formed into a shape, remove the shutter slide and let it out.

Let’s make dinner

To reassure you on how easy it is to make fresh pasta, let’s make dinner. For this example we will make some lovely green spinach pasta.
First step: Measure out the amount the flour and washed and dried spinach. (Measurements vary according to the amount of pasta being made.) Place both of the ingredients into the mixing bowl and lock the bowl cover into place.
Second step: Turn on the machine.
Third step: Add eggs.
Fourth step: Allow the machine to run for 10-15 minutes before checking the dough.
Fifth step: If the dough is not to the desired consistency, add either water or flour to achieve the sought out dough consistency. In this case you want walnut size dough.
Sixth step: Let machine run for 5 more minutes
Seventh step: Turn off the machine and choose the pasta disc that you want. Most of the time spinach pasta is made into linguine. Attach your chosen disc and remove the shutter slide.
Eighth step: Turn the machine back on and watch as the pasta comes out. With a knife cut the pasta.
Ninth step: Cook and eat and enjoy.
