By: Jarjeer Between 1993 and1999, whilst managing her own company, Michele was recognised as a leader in her field when she established and ran her own retail outlet in Altrincham, Cheshire. In Michele’s elegant studio could be found the finest art, studio ceramics, glass, jewellery and textiles. In 2006 Michele moved to Marrakech to establish Riad Assakina (http://www.riadassakina.com/) Michele’s love of textiles resurfaced and she began to commission local tailors and embroiderers to make beautiful items of clothing to her own designs. These clothes have a Moroccan theme but are fashioned for the European clientele that can be worn comfortably in the West as easily as here in Morocco. This very special event is due to start at 6.00 pm on the 22 June at Jarjeer, Oumnass, 24 kms Route d'Amzmiz, Marrakech. Susan Machin, the Director of Jarjeer Mules, says "We have hosted many special events at our home here in Marrakech and we are delighted to support Michele on what is sure to be a stunning evening.” We welcome everyone to the Michele Provost' summer collection launch where all the proceeds from the evening's event will be donated for the care of our rescued donkeys. Jarjeer is a community set in 6 hectares of land in the foothills of the High Atlas. The Jarjeer project, including our donkey sanctuary, was developed by Charles Hantom and Susan Machin who have developed close links with the village of Oumnas and are committed to preserving the local landscape and the way of life embedded in the strongest Berber traditions. Our commitment to Morocco includes welcoming visitors to Marrakech who want to experience the very best of the local culture. End
