Queens Hyundai Dealer, Millennium Hyundai, Comments on Hyundai’s New Solar Power Plant

ELMONT, N.Y. - May 10, 2013 - PRLog -- On May 10, 2013, Millennium Hyundai commented on a Hyundai News article, regarding Hyundai’s South Korea power plant installing the world’s largest rooftop photovoltaic power source to reduce the power plants harmful emissions.

According to the Hyundai News article (http://hyundainews.com/us/en-us/Media/PressRelease.aspx?mediaid=38572&title=hyundai-motor-to-install-south-koreas-largest-rooftop-photovoltaic-power-plant-at-asan-factory), “Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea’s largest automaker, announced that it will install the nation’s largest rooftop photovoltaic power plant at its manufacturing factory in Asan, Korea, to expand the use of renewable energy and take measures to help reduce global warming.”

The article states that Hyundai’s Asan plant will host the building of the new power plant, while the Korea Electric Power Corporation will purchase the solar modules needed to make the solar-powered plant function. The article mentions that the 40,000 solar modules will be welded and assembled to the plants rooftop by the end of the year.

According to the article, “The completed plant will be capable of supplying up to 11.5 million KWh of electricity per year, or provide a stable supply of electricity for up to 3,200 households.” The article states that to produce that same amount of electricity a regular thermoelectric power plant would release 5,600 tons of carbon dioxide emissions that a photovoltaic plant would prevent.
