The Backstage Artist Lounge Interview Series with PEffect

LOS ANGELES - May 9, 2013 - PRLog -- The Backstage Artist Lounge interviews Founder of PEffect, Joaquin Rodriguez.

1. Tell us about your clothing line, What was your motivation to get the  automotive line off the ground?

PEffect was inspired from a couple things. One is my love for cars and modifying them to look cool and have better performance.  Secondly is my
love for helping people. I knew I wanted to become a business owner and that I wanted to incorporate the two things I love in that.  Being a creative person guided me in to apparel because its similar to art just on clothing.  It keeps me motivated to work hard and make it grow knowing that I am creating a charitable financial vessel for people that need help and the customers not only look cool and fashionable, but also support a company that morally and emotionally make a Positive Effect!

2. How has the line developed since it first launched? Do you undertake all of the work yourself?

The line developed in its infancy as an urban casual life style with the emphasis of supporting multiple charities and having the customers choose which charity to support with their purchase.  A year later I realized I needed to focus the brands image and develop it in a market that needed some representation.  I never saw a life style apparel brand break into to the automotive scene and do it well and since it was a passion of mine I felt it was the natural direction to go. The artwork is a little to detailed and complicated for my artistic skill so I utilize a graphic artist to help me design the final product.

3. How has social media and networking impacted upon the way in which you work and your brand?

Social media has been a huge influence in exposing the brand to a lot of
people and connecting to the automotive scene around the world.  It has actually enabled me to start branding out in the UK.  PEffect is an apparel sponsor to "Little Rebels TV" out of the UK and they film and host car events and races all over the UK.  Its also viable for promoting events that the company will be at and we get to meet people that come to the event because they are a fan of the company and what we are all about.

4. What are you most excited about Positive Effect returning to The
Backstage Artist Lounge Tour this year?

I'm excited to meet old and new artists and peak their interest in helping support and exposing PEffect to the world.  The people and companies BAL represents are quality and that's important to us because we want to emphasize that PEffect is a quality company too.

5. What have been your most successful designs? Why do you think that is?

My most successful designs are the ones being produced and distributed
right now.  The detail and complexity have attracted customers at every
event. No one is producing designs like ours in the automotive scene and they definitely are gaining traction as a successful line.

6. What are some other goals that Positive Effect is reaching for this year?

Some of the milestones PEffect is going to accomplish is the final completions of its current line and a solid packaging solution that is unique and forward thinking.  Another is a multi store contract with an automotive parts chain to facilitate the expansion of PEffect into a new and different retail sector that has not been done before.
