HOUSTON - May 9, 2013 - PRLog -- For most young men and women, just meeting an NBA star would be the opportunity of a lifetime.  How about getting to train with one?  Just out, Houston Rockets forward Thomas Robinson (#41) and HSBCAMPS, America's fastest growing youth basketball program, have officially announced their partnership to bring young Texans of all ages face-to-face with the pros.  Robinson, the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft, will headline an All-Star staff of collegiate and professional players and coaches this June when HSBCAMPS dribbles into the Lone Star State.

One of the games brightest young stars, Robinson, may arguably have the most upside of any player in the 2012 NBA Draft class.  Standing 6'10 and built like a Greek God, the University of Kansas product delivers size, versatility, and and all out effort on both ends of the floor, a tremendous asset to any team, which is probably why Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey stole him from Sacramento back in February.

Underutilized by the Kings, the team that drafted him, Morey pulled off a shocker when he orchestrated a six player three team deal, landing Robinson just before the leagues trade deadline.    Now teamed with James Harden, Jeremy Lin, Chandler Parsons, and Omer Asik, the twenty-two-year-old forward rounds out a solid and impressive core, the youngest in the NBA.

"Thomas's drive, story, and all that he stands for are something to be celebrated," shared HSBCAMPS Director Carson Sofro.  "Of all the NBA players I have ever met, in my opinion, he may have the biggest heart.  His desire and passion to give back and help others is world-class, and we are truly blessed to be able to share that with all of our participants."

Joining Sacramento Kings guard Marcus Thornton (#23), former Houston Rocket Mike Harris (#33) and the rest of the HSBCAMPS staff, Robinson will be in attendance when HSBCAMPS opens their upcoming summer tour June 10th-12th in the Woodlands and June 13th-15th in San Antonio.
