ATLANTA - May 9, 2013 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, GA -- Actor, comedian, writer, and director  Keith Allen Hayes is proud to announce the filming of his upcoming short film, “30 Day Itch”.  Shooting of the film kicked off on May 4, 2013, and will continue throughout the  month of May.  Hayes has worked for months on the preparation to begin the filming of  “30 Day Itch” through multiple castings, script rewrites, and other various pre-production strategies. With the film entertainment industry beginning to cultivate in Atlanta, GA., over the last few years, Hayes has decided it would be the perfect location to film his premier upbeat comedy-drama production.  Visit http://www.facebook.com/30DayItch.

Hayes' “30 Day Itch” is a hilarious comedy-drama involving two close friends that place a wager in which the outcome could end in triumph or tragedy. "I can honestly say that it feels great to know that the words you wrote on paper -- that came from your mind is now expressed through motion on film," says Hayes.  "The momentum of  "30 Day Itch" has gotten so big it has out grown me and has become an entity of its own.  I surely see myself with more to come."  Co-Writer Walter Hendrix III added an extra set of eyes and contributed very noteworthy details to this script/film and other elements of creativity.

"I decided to write "30 Day Itch" for more than just the obvious reason other than to make a film. I wrote it to create opportunities for the actors and actresses who aren't getting their fair share of being looked at by big-time casting agencies for major productions.  I wanted to make this a  Screen Actors Guild (SAG ) film to allow the actors and actresses who have speaking  lines to help them become  part of the union and make their own platform.  Now at least they can be considered for big roles and be seen by the big casting directors and agencies," explains Hayes.

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA,  Hayes always knew he was meant to be a part of the entertainment industry.  From a very young age, Hayes has had a sincere passion to entertain others and make people laugh.  He enjoyed going above and beyond in order to stand out and make lasting impressions. Since launching his career, Hayes has been involved in over 26 feature films and 10 television appearances, along with various stage plays, commercials and ad print work.  Some of his most credible career accomplishments include roles in Oscar winning movies such as “The Blind Side” and “The Lost Valentine”.   Landing a five-year contract as the face of the Crème of Nature for Men Hair Colors is also a print ad this actor has conquered.  He also earned a role in multi-platinum selling Gospel Artist Kirk Franklin's video, "Smile".

With the many years of experience and variety of skill assets, Hayes is definitely a proven hit in front of the camera. With this new venture of directing and filming his new short film, society will be able to see that he is a force to be reckoned with behind the scenes as well. "I feel extremely fortunate, excited, anxious, nervous, scared, focused, ambitious, and tired all at the same time.  I want to see it through from the  beginning to the end," says Hayes.  “30 Day Itch”  is set to premiere to the public in late August.

Stay tuned; Hayes is just getting started and will surely write more movie scripts. He will also star in psycho trilogy, "Inner Demons",  "Atlanta Heat 2" and "30 Day Itch".  "I will surely write more movie scripts.  I have a couple in the works right now. I just need to decide which one will be the one I pull the trigger on," says Hayes.
