Mark Antonelli gets Outstanding Eagle Scout Award from Boy Scouts of America

Gaebe Mullen Antonelli Partner receives national honored from South Florida Council
 
May 9, 2013 - PRLog -- CORAL GABLES, FLA. -- Mark R. Antonelli (http://www.gaebemullen.com/mra.htm), partner at the Coral Gables office of Gaebe, Mullen, Antonelli & DiMatteo (http://www.gaebemullen.com), has been honored with the NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award (NOESA) (http://www.nesa.org/outstanding_eagle.html) by the Boy Scouts of America (http://www.scouting.org).

Mr. Antonelli, now in his second year as president of the South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America (http://www.sfcbsa.org), was the Council’s sole recipient of the award, given to an Eagle Scout by the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) (http://www.nesa.org) to an individual who has been an Eagle Scout for at least 25 years with a history of outstanding community service.

Mr. Antonelli accepted the honor at the Council’s annual Eagle Recognition Banquet May 5, hosting 220 young men from around South Florida who earned their Eagle Scout badges in 2012. Mr. Antonelli, who became an Eagle Scout while growing up in Miramar, has two Eagle Scout sons, and is a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow.

“The dictionary is the only place where success comes before work,” Mr. Antonelli said in the banquet’s keynote address. His speech received a standing ovation.

“He has given great leadership to the council over the last two years and was honored for his long history of outstanding community service,” said John Anthony, executive director of the South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Long active in the community, Mr. Antonelli has been a longtime member of the board of the South Florida Council, and is active in the community as a board member and a past chair of the Board of Managers for the South Dade YMCA, among many other civic accomplishments.

Mr. Antonelli represents insured and self-insured clients in commercial and civil litigation matters, with a primary emphasis on personal injury, premises liability and negligent security claims. He also handles municipal liability defense cases.
