By: 48 Hour Film Project Tampa-St. Petersburg There are three primary angles available to the media for coverage of this event: • Pre-Event Coverage (including recruiting your audience to participate in the competition, alerting your audience about the public screening events where the locally-made films will be shown, and interviewing of both local and national producers of the competition) • During the 48-hour challenge (follow a team in the Tampa Bay area and cover their excitement, frustration, and creative process first-hand) • Post-Event Coverage (cover and highlight the event, complete with hard facts regarding attendance/participation, where and when the public screening will be held, and also announce the winning films) Last year, Tampa-St. Petersburg’s 48 Hour Film Project attracted 27 teams with over 350 participants. We cordially invite the Tampa Bay media to the kick-off event on Friday, July 26 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at CDB’s Southside (3671 S Westshore Blvd, Tampa).
