Last Great Off Road Adventure On Earth

SEATTLE - May 16, 2013 - PRLog -- What brings hundreds of 4x4's racing from around the country to northern California where they will parade at a turtles pace for seven miles? What causes perfectly sane drivers to purposely place themselves and their trucks in harm's way? Starting June 18, where will the eyes of the Toyota four-wheeling world be focus?

The Toyota Land Cruiser Association (TLCA) is celebrating its 25th anniversary of Rubithon. Rubithon is the premier four wheeling event for Toyota 4x4 owners. The off road adventure starts at Loon Lake, travels six miles down the most famous, rugged and boulder filled Northern California “county road”, known as the Rubicon Trail. The snail pace drive over dirt and granite culminates at “The Springs”.

For two days, Rubicon Springs, a private camp ground in the El Dorado high country, will be called home by more than 300 Toyota off road enthusiast as they rekindle old friendships, make new connections and celebrate this historic anniversary. Camping, cookouts, hiking, four-wheeling and raffle prizes will be the order of business at Rubithon.

In honor of the 25th anniversary, Last Great Road Trip (http://www.lastgreatroadtrip.com)  will be sponsoring one of the raffle prizes and making the pilgrimage to Rubithon from their Seattle area base. Along the way the Last Great Road Trip team will broadcast real time GPS progress as they march their heavily modified 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser to The Springs.

The team will also share digitally all the thrills and perils of the adventure. The team will tell the story of Rubithon on their website and Facebook (http://facebook.com/lastgreatroadtrip) through pictures and video where thousands of their website fans can follow Last Great Road Trip's off road adventures.
