ScottMadden Hosts SNL Webinar on Electric Demand

Will Changes in Usage Ground Utilities’ Prospects? This 90-minute session provided an opportunity for industry experts to share their views and field the questions of more than 270 attendees. Key agenda topics included:

·         Economic drivers of load growth: causes and effects of the decline in growth
·         Energy efficiency, market responses, and microgrid impacts on aggregate demand
·         Distributed generation: how it is playing out in regulated utilities and competitive markets

The panelists were: Margarett Jolly, distributed generation ombudsperson at Consolidated Edison of New York; Cristin Lyons, partner and transmission, distribution, and Smart Grid practice leader at ScottMadden; and Steven Pullins, president at Horizon Energy Group. Walter Crenshaw, senior program manager at SNL Knowledge Center, served as moderator.
