BLAINE, Wash. - May 7, 2013 - PRLog -- What were you doing when you were 17 years old? Planning your prom? Starting your first job? Michael Andes is 17 but has his mind on other things: college graduation, mobile technology, and our nation’s health – to name a few.

Michael is in his 4th year of college at Western Washington University and has a passion for helping others lead healthy lifestyles through diet and exercise. Aside from the fact that he started college a week after he turned 13, he hopes to create a business in the health and fitness industry. For the past 7 months Michael has created an extreme home fitness program called ThirtyX. ThirtyX is composed of 10 workouts that are divided into beginner and advanced categories. Michael isn’t just the owner of this newfound business but was the one who created the exercises and managed the filming, sound, choreography, video editing, and was in fact the trainer that is on the workout videos and guides users through each workout offering encouragement and tips along the way.

Michael created ThirtyX for several reasons. First, he wanted to create workouts that were only 30 minutes long and thus could serve as a sustainable program for those living busy lifestyles. Second, he wanted to created an extreme home fitness program but one which could be started by those who had no previous fitness experience or weren’t in good shape. Lastly, a large fraction of Americans are overweight and sedentary and because of new medical science studies he knew that interval training was the best way to burn calories, burn fat, and start living a disease free livelihood. Interval training is a type of exercise that has intervals of high-intensity followed by a short break. This is the reason for the name: ThirtyX. All exercises are performed in segments of 30 seconds and every couple minutes users get a short 30 second break – that’s what makes it X-treme. Michael motto for the workout series is “Everything you got!” and if you do the workouts you’ll see that nothing less will do. Michael has learnt some programming over the last several months and has just integrated ThirtyX into a mobile application on the App Store. He created previews of each of the workouts and they along with his “Ab-tropolis” ab-workout are free once the app is downloaded. The rest of the beginner and advanced cardio and weight-bearing workouts are only $.99 and can be viewed on iPads, iPods, and iPhones. Michael has also published his app on Google Play for all Android OS tablet and smartphone devices, where all the video are available for only $3.99.

Michael is still in the process of editing a few of the videos and once they are all finished he will be releasing HD videos via DVD on his website thirtyxfitness.com. But Michael won’t be stopping there, he has big plans to create more fitness videos that are better and more professional and hopes to create his own food products line and has some ideas to change the way we think of fitness and exercise by integrating it with technology. Stay tuned… you’ll be hearing more about this young man in the future.
