FORT COLLINS, Colo. - May 7, 2013 - PRLog -- The Moxie Exchange Movement, a national women’s leadership organization where business and the coolest women you know collide, will host its inaugural women’s leadership summit with its elite board of advisors. On May 20 at Colorado State University’s School of Business ten female executives from corporations including Cisco, Eli Lily and Turner Broadcasting, to name a few, will take their seats on the Moxie Advisory Board. Together, these business leaders will cover diverse perspectives, share best ideas and practices, encourage breakthrough thinking and build meaningful relationships that cross industry boundaries.

The power behind the Moxie Board of Advisors is staggering. The combined force of these ten women include:

-A reach of 220,000 employees (roughly the same as the population of Norfolk, VA)
-Combined revenues of $112.8 billion
-Employees span 5 continents in more than 160 countries

During the day-long summit this group of influential leadership and diversity experts will engage in provocative conversation and a rich dialogue as they advise Moxie on its growth path and discuss what it will take to change the face of leadership in business to gender parity. They will also share best practices, strong ideas and innovative solutions that have been used successfully in large companies in other industries, and return to their own teams with a wealth of information and ideas on how to continue to grow this movement.

“There has been a lot of buzz lately about how Corporate America is looking for women, but no one has given these women, or the companies they work for, an actual roadmap for growth,” said Maureen Berkner Boyt, Head Moxie and founder of The Moxie Exchange Movement. “We’re thrilled this conversation is happening; yet it hasn’t included the blueprint for how women can get into leadership positions, let alone the c-suite, nor what organizations can do to catalyze the growth of their female talent. And that is where Moxie comes in, and how we are different. After the summit our powerhouse group of women business leaders and the companies they represent will lay out this roadmap brick by brick.

Moxie is proud to provide this missing bridge between where women and companies are "supposed to be" and how to get there!  Moxie created the map and now we’re connecting major corporations so they can use and improve upon that map.”

Following the summit, Moxie will release a report of best practices and other insights gleaned from the summit. The board of advisors will meet twice annually in May and November.
