Professional Concert Pianist to Perform Benefit Concert

By: Pilgrim Lutheran School, Beaverton
BEAVERTON, Ore. - May 5, 2013 - PRLog -- (Beaverton, Oregon)-Dianne Davies, a professional concert pianist who has performed with the Hillsboro Symphony Orchestra, will perform a comic piano parody in the style of Viktor Borge for a benefit concert honoring Pilgrim Lutheran School’s teachers.

The concert will be held at 7pm on May 10th at Pilgrim Lutheran Church and School, 5650 SW Hall Blvd Beaverton, near Allen Blvd.

Dianne was quoted in the Beaverton Valley Times in 2012 saying “'My performance is very interactive… I fall off my bench a couple of times. I run around and do some crazy things. People can't just fall asleep. They don't have time.”

An 18-year resident of Beaverton’s Highland Hills area, Davies has played classical piano since she was a little girl. Taking a break from performing and teaching when her boys, Kaleb and Joshua, were born, she returned to the stage in 2008 for a performance of the Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Hillsboro Symphony Orchestra.

Although there is no admissions fee, donations will be requested on behalf of the school teachers. Public is welcome!
