XPAND 3D To Host 3D Workshop at Cannes International Film Festival

CANNES, France - May 5, 2013 - PRLog -- XPAND, 3D Stereo MEDIA, and the International 3D Society are joining forces to host a workshop entitled "3D Movie Making: From Script to Business.” The workshop will be focusing on straight-to-the-point information on how to get started in stereoscopic 3D (S-3D) how to win awards, and make money in the process.

The workshop is expected to be the main gathering point and highlight on S-3D in Cannes this year and will be following the screening of The Great Gatsby as the opening movie of the festival in 3D. The opening screening marks only the second time in festival history that the opening film will be screened in 3D, and this marks the fifth year that XPAND 3D has served as the 3D technical partner for the Cannes Film Festival.

The workshop will be followed by a networking reception. Both will be held on the American Pavilion on the Croisette in Cannes, on Thursday May 16, from 3:00 pm till about 5:00 pm. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. There is no fee for attending, but proper Festival accreditation is required to enter the Festival grounds.
