The Travels of Ching by Robert Bright Receives Honorable Mention at The 2013 Paris Book Festival

CAMDEN, Maine - May 4, 2013 - PRLog -- The Travels of Ching was originally written and illustrated by my grandfather, Robert Bright in 1943. I found an old copy of this book on my father's book shelf and discovered a beautiful and sweet story of a little doll from China who travels to America and back to China in a search for someone who will love him. I decided to revive this book and so I republished it. I wanted the book to be special so I designed it with a hardcover and offset print and a dust jacket with heavy paper to really show off the beautiful illustrations depicting an old China. I didn't want this lovely, heartwarming little story of finding happiness and love to disappear. Taking a chance I submitted The Travels of Ching to The Paris Book Festival 2013 competition and was so happy to learn that it had been awarded an Honorable Mention. The awards ceremony will be held in Paris on May 30, 2013. The Paris Book Festival honors the best in international publishing and his been supporting great books since 1999. www.deniopress.com
