MANORVILLE, N.Y. - May 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Manorville, NY —The Long Island Game Farm (http://www.longislandgamefarm.com/) has announced that Rhame Avenue Elementary School in East Rockaway will receive a visit from Nature Nick (http://www.animaladventuresparties.com/) for winning the Game Farm’s new Facebook Essay Contest. On May 31, Nature Nick will put on two shows for the students, at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Their essay was chosen from 250 entries that described why Nature Nick should come to their school. The students who contributed to the essay said a visit from Nature Nick would make the students happy after undergoing the loss of their homes and pets during Superstorm Sandy.

“When Super Storm Sandy hit, everyone’s homes and our school got flooded,” one student wrote. “This made everyone super sad. Some of my friends still can’t live in their houses! I’m sure all of the animals will make them smile!”

Another student wrote, “It might cheer us up because some of our pets might have died during Hurricane Sandy, like my bird. Therefore, Nature Nick’s exotic animals would be good for our spirits.”

The students were also unable to use the school’s gymnasium after flooding from the storm damaged the gym floor. “Because of that, we were forced to have P.E. in our upstairs conference room,” one student wrote. “We always have assemblies in our gym so if NN came to our school, it would be like a grand opening to our gym.”

“Nature Nick’s Animal Adventures” features 10 to 12 animals from all corners of the world, many of them rare and exotic. He has appeared on numerous TV shows, including “The Martha Stewart Show,” “The Wendy Williams Show,” “Petkeeping with Marc Morrone” and “Good Morning America.”

“Nature is amazing. Don’t you think?” wrote one student, to which another student added: “Who knows? Maybe someday, one of our classmates will be the next ‘Nature Nick’!”
