By: TANK Branding Launched in 2011, the NT Mojos project was designed to foster story telling by enabling Indigenous people from remote Northern Territory communities with the skills and technology to tell their stories in their own way using specially equipped iPhones. The worked was completed in partnership between the web development team at the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) and TANK Branding, the Melbourne based brand and communications agency responsible for the interface design. “The project is part of the Closing the Gap initiative aimed at giving remote local communities the opportunity to become mobile journalists and close the gap through local stories of change and hope. It’s wonderful that this work has attracted global recognition.” TANK Branding were engaged to design a dedicated interactive interface for the official NT Mojos site, showcasing the images and videos of these unique mobile journalists and placing them as the heroes of the site.
