A Great New Take on Classic Stories and Life Lessons

This first book in a series contains three classic stories retold from a child's perspective. Young Aesop the raccoon is constantly asking "Why?" but must learn to find the answers on his own. While he may not find the answer to the specific question he was thinking about, Aesop learns valuable life lessons through interactions with the other creatures he encounters during his day. In effect, it teaches children that answers are not simply given to them - they must seek out their own understanding.

The book is perfectly aimed at young children - the stories are simple to understand and help to foster an inquisitive attitude. The lovely illustrations add just enough detail to allow young minds to fully imagine the scene as the stories play out.
