Novelist Dares Readers to Jump Off A Cliff

The title is a subtle play on the manner in which Bret's father dies, falling from a mountainside, and the risk and terror of making unpopular decisions and being true to oneself. “The book is about an 18-year-old young man with a gift for music who is told his entire life he must choose another path,” says Blaskovic. “Every horror he experiences seems to confirm this. But he leads an empty existence until he takes the reins of his decisions and chooses for himself.”

Blaskovic has worked in science labs and has taught literacy, writing, math and science.
