Honor Society short film to screen The Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner

CLEVELAND - April 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Tiffany Laufer, award winning film director will showcase her short film, Honor Society this spring at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival sponsored Short Film Corner (Cannes Court Métrage), an international market for short films held at the Cannes Film Festival.

Laufer had this to say about the upcoming market exposure: "I am thrilled that our coming of age story will be available to the world markets.  This is a great opportunity for our actresses and the message we bring with the film - that while we are pushing our teenagers to excel academically, are we addressing their needs for friendships that can define and carry them through life's dilemmas and confusions?  I believe our film will speak to audiences young and old.  We all have had certain friendships that were the essence and glue to our being at one point or another.  How do you let those go when life changes? It's very difficult and recovering from that loss happens quite slowly I have found.  I don't think I am alone in that. Hopefully, one will walk away with a sense of being and comfort from watching Honor Society. Without giving too much away -  It's an honor to have, give and hold - friendship, that's one of the themes through out the film."

Tiffany Laufer, a graduate from the prestigious American Film Institute in Los Angeles is an award winning director with her previous film, The Acorn Penny receiving distribution from Shorts International. Shorts International distributes the Oscar® Nominated Short film series to theaters nationwide. Tiffany has directed talent such as Fred Armisen, Jack Hourigan and comedian Dave Hill.
