Stephen Meade to judge The Next Big Thing Entrepreneurial Competition

LOS ANGELES - April 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Junior Achievement (JA) of San Diego and Imperial Counties is an organization committed to empowering students with skills in "financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship".  On Thursday May 16th, 2013, JA San Diego will host "The Next Big Thing Entrepreneurial Competition" to promote healthy competition and professional creativity among its youth.    

The Entrepreneurial Competition will feature fourteen JA Company Program Teams, representing several high schools and after-school programs in the San Diego County area.  Teams will compete by setting up trade show booths and presenting their best elevator pitches and company summaries.  Judges will name 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, and award teams with the best business plan, most creative product or service, and best overall sales.

One lucky judge is Stephen Meade, Founder and Resident Rainmaker of Big Bamboo LLC, and business architect of several successful technology based companies. Meade has helped judge many similar events, including Project Echo's "Business Plan Competition" just this past April.  He brings to the table decades of experience and wisdom about networking and business building.

"The Next Big Thing Competition"kicks off at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 16th, 2013 at the Scottish Rite Center in Mission Valley.
