Follow on Google News | Residents Will Meet to Discuss Local Suggestions and Concerns at HCCA Annual Meeting May 13, 2013The Howard County Citizens Association (HCCA) will hold its 51st annual meeting at 6:30PM on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Hawthorn Center, 6175 Sunny Spring, Columbia, MD 21044.
The slate of candidates for officers includes: Stu Kohn of North Laurel for President, Lisa Markovitz of Ellicott City for Vice President, Cathy Hudson of Elkridge for Secretary, and J.D. Smith of Columbia for Treasurer. Additionally, Brian England (Columbia), Howard Johnson (Elkridge), Jacquie Sentell (North Laurel), Paul Verchinski (Columbia) and Rosalyn Williams (Ellicott City) will run as At-Large Board Members. “There has been quite a bit of discussion on our listserv and throughout the community around zoning issues, adequate public facilities, and affordable housing, and we are planning to cover those topics in addition to others at our annual meeting.” Cathy Hudson, the current HCCA president offered. All Howard County residents are invited to attend. A food and beverage reception will kick off the event along with door prizes from the Iron Bridge Wine Company in Columbia, Johnny’s Bistro in Ellicott City and Bertucci’s in Columbia.
