By: SCD Consulting Services for ChiroCarolina In Brazil, the 3rd National Congress of the Brazilian Chiropractors Association (ABQ), which was held at the University Anhembi Murumbi in Sao Paulo, was a success with attendees from chiropractors throughout Latin America. The Universidad de las Americas (UDLA) in Santiago, Chile is proud to announce that they have their first batch of students of chiropractic in March of 2012. They also announced the dean of chiropractic: In Costa Rica, new board members and officers were elected. The new officers are as follows: Steven Harlow, DC, president; Alejandra Patricia Rodrguez Prez, DC, vice president; Michael Norton, DC, secretary; and Ron Hash, DC, Sashe Ellison, DC, and Marishel Morales, DC, board members. The December issue of the Canadian Chiropractic Association's Research Bulletin is now available online. The bulletin confirmed the growing depth of chiropractic research and capacity in Canada. It was mentioned in the report that there are three new university chiropractic research chairs that are funded by CCA and the Canadian government. Finally, Professor Jan Hartvigsen of Denmark advised The Society for Back Pain Research to hold a conference titled: The Life Course of Back Pain--Are We Making a Difference? at the University of Southern Denmark.
