April 26, 2013 - PRLog -- When Sue Maggott wrote her poem Believe!, little did she know that it would lead to the publication of a book.

But shortly after, momentum grew and a series of events compelled Sue from Stivichall to compile an anthology containing stories, poems and exercises from inspirational entrepreneurs.

The book Believe! The Gift Of Inspiration For Female Entrepreneurs will be published in paperback in early May.

This is how Sue describes writing the Believe! poem.

‘Visualise,if you will, an unsuspecting middle-aged woman, in a faux grey fur dressing gown, idly browsing the messages on her computer screen. Next, watch with wonder, as a magnetic pull charges from her brain, through her body, to her fingers. Opening a new window on the screen, these fingers begin to fly acrossthe keys, as a poem, addressed to herself, swiftly stakes its claim on the stark whiteness of a blank Word document. She sits stunned, as a spiritual “wake-up” call, stares back at her from the screen. In a matter of minutes, a mystical energy had caught her imagination; sparking her latent creativity and culminating in the creation of her poem.’

Believe! is a compelling call for Sue and all, to trust in their own abilities and go forward with their dreams.

Sue is keen to emphasise that collaboration is at the heart of the book. The anthology contains contributions from those that Sue has met during her own self- development journey. ‘‘It is with gratitude to all those who participated in this project, that I invite readers to learn from their experiences and shared tips to confirm and strengthen their own beliefs in their own dreams, their own legacy and their own power.’

Having a background in developing adult career information and advice services, Sue also wanted to showcase the amazing entrepreneurial talent that she encountered.  Writers include;  Andrea Soonius, a Doctor of Chiropractic, Business Coach Lynda Holt, Intuitive Transformational Coach Natasha Aburdarham Black and Elizabeth Beetham who is a Health Journalist.

Sue has found exploring the world of the entrepreneur fascinating. ‘With the availability of the internet and exciting on-line tools such as Amazon Kindle and Createspace, it is a great time to be an entrepreneur.  My experience of producing my first book was made very easy as I was able to publish straight onto Kindle before producing the print version.’

She has herself recently led her first Laughter Yoga session after training as a Laughter Yoga leader in Birmingham, and will be jointly hosting Poetry Corner on Radio Abbey with co-author in the Believe! anthology Elizabeth Beetham, a health journalist from Kenilworth. Before taking early retirement from her Civil Service job in 2010, Sue would never have visualised herself doing either of these things!

She is now a poet, author and spiritual practitioner. Sue was shortlisted for a national Women Inspiring Women award for her poetry in June 2012. It is only since leaving her job, that she has discovered her talent for poetry. ‘I started to write morning pages a process of writing first thing in the morning on waking up. To my surprise and delight, after three weeks of writing daily – anything and everything that came to mind – my words began to come out in rhyme! Increasingly, I became more creative in the way that I was expressing myself. To the extent that I started writing poems about events, courses and experiences that I was attending. I also found that people began to ask me to write poems as a new and innovative way to illustrate their businesses, as well as for special birthdays and occasions.’

Believe! The Gift of Inspiration For Female Entrepreneurs will be celebrated at an event on 10 May at The Four Seasons Function Room, Coventry. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear some of the contributors share their personal stories and talk about how they feel about being involved with the book. The event will also raise funds for the Nuneaton and Bedworth Doorway charity. Tickets can be purchased at:http://believecelebration-es2005.eventbrite.co.uk/?rank=1

Sue’s second book Believe In You, Believe In Your Story, a memoir about her own experiences is also available now on Kindle.  This was produced as part of another collaborative project with I AM WOMAN Business Clubs.

For her next book, Sue is intending to draw together further stories about some of the amazing range of "alternative" careers that she has encountered on her journey.

Sue will also talk about her motivations for and findings from writing  these books on 22 May at Coventry Library.
