CARLSBAD, Calif. - April 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Beginning May 13th, 2013, Encinitas teens will no longer be without treatment options within their local area. True North was founded in 2011 by Kansas Cafferty. Kansas is a licensed marriage and family therapist, a licensed advanced alcohol drug counselor, and a master counselor of addictions. He has been working in the field of addiction treatment since 1999 and has been clean and sober since he was an adolescent himself. Seeing a dire need in the Encinitas area that has not been filled since the closing of San Luis Rey Hospital in 1999. Kansas is well regarded as an expert in adolescent treatment. He has presented on adolescent treatment issues for the US Journal Training Conference, NAADAC, and was one of five chief contributers in the development of the National Adolescent Addiction Counselor Certification, a newly released national certification offered by NAADAC. The True North adolescent track will meet three nights per week for 3 hours per night. Psychiatry will be available onsite.
