Courtesy Property Management; Joining the Relay for Life Movement
Remembering two Famous Cubans, Celia Cruz and Desi Arnaz both lost to Cancer
The theme for this year’s Relay for Life is “Celebrating more birthdays around the world”. Each company in the relay is representing a different country. Courtesy Property Management is representing the country of Cuba. As a property management company, we are proud to have the associations we represent and their homeowners supporting our efforts. The support has truly been amazing. Our top supporters are Three Lakes POA, Tuscany Village HOA and Lago Mar Community Association. We have also had the support of homeowners and neighborhood business owners sponsoring our team including; Executive National Bank, Vested Security, All Safe Insurance, Vicky’s Bakery, La Llave Café and Cheney Brothers to name a few. Our efforts have definitely paid off; thanks to all of our sponsors and donors we have doubled our goal for the year!
The itinerary for the event is as follows: The opening ceremony will start at 6:00 p.m. with the survivor’s victory lap immediately following; the Luminaria Ceremony will take place at approximately 9:00 p.m., this ceremony will celebrate with survivors, stand united with cancer patients in their fight and honor the memory of those that have lost their battle.
During the event the Courtesy Property Management team aka “The Cuban Rumberos” will be selling delicious traditional Cuban foods such as Cuban and midnight sandwiches, pastelitos, papa rellenas, and croquetas (donated by Vicky’s Bakery) and popular Cuban beverages Materva, Ironbeer, Jupina and Malta (donated by Cheney Brothers), to endure the 18 hour event we will also be selling Cafesito Cubano (donated by La Llave Café) proceeds to benefit the Relay for Life. The “Cuban Rumberos “booth will be decorated with classic Cuban posters, and images of historical Cuban leaders such as Jose Marti. Our team t-shirt will honor the memory of two very famous Cuban celebrities both known for their Rumba music and ironically both lost their lives to cancer, Celia Cruz (brain cancer) and Desi Arnaz (lung cancer). Don’t miss this opportunity to join the community in fighting the battle against Cancer.
