South Coast Martial Arts School Owner Is Featured Instructor at International Training Camp

WAREHAM, Mass. - April 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Nexus Martial Arts & Fitness owner and chief instructor, Stephen Whittier, was a featured instructor at the 2013 SBG International martial arts training camp, held this year in Kalispell, Montana.

This year’s event spanned three full days and drew over 80 participants from across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Iceland, and even Chilé. Attendees included teens, men and women up to their early 60’s in age, and ranged from hobbyist students to professional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts trainers and athletes, including multiple world champion instructors and coaches of UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) fighters.

Whittier, who founded Nexus in 2003, has traveled extensively over the years, conducting seminars in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts across the U.S. as well as internationally.

“It couldn’t have been a more positive experience,” he states about the training camp. “Along with myself there were 15 other BJJ Black Belts and MMA instructors there. The quality of the instruction, the students, the training and the overall atmosphere was the best I’ve seen yet. A couple of my students made the trip out West as well and we all felt it was just an amazing event to be a part of.”

In addition to another West Coast seminar later this year, he is slated to teach at the next training SBG International camp, to be held in Mexico in October.
