VENICE, Calif. - April 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Since 1988 award-winning writers and performers have been sharing poetry, stories, music and other original work at this long-running Hollywood Literary Salon.

Past guest have included Alec Baldwin, Judd Nelson, Robert Downey Jr., Drew Barrymore, John Barrymore, Justine Bateman, David Ducovny, etc.  

On May 4, 2013, Eve Brandstein will present "Mama Said" at Beyond Baroque located at 681 Venice Blvd on 4 May 2013 at 8pm.  Tickets to the event are $15 online and $20 at the door.

Patti Davis

Patti Davis is the author of eight books including The Long Goodbye and The Lives Our Mothers Leave Us. Her new novel, Till Human Voices Wake Us, is available on Kindle through Amazon.

John Difusco

John DiFusco has been an LA Based Theatre Artist for more than thirty years.  In Nov. 2012 he performed his solo play 'The Long Way Home-(Reflections on the Tracers Journey).'    The show was directed by John Perrin Flynn and co-produced by Roguemachine Theatre and the US Veterans Artists Alliance.  Featuring live music by Al Keith.  Backstage West listed his performance as one of "Best of the Year."   John is most known for the creation of the landmark Vietnam play 'Tracers,' which he created with a group of actors all of whom were Vietnam Vets.  'Tracers' premiered at The Odyssey in 1980.  In 1985, he re-wrote and directed the play at The Public Theatre in NY.  It ran for six months in NY and was published as one of the Ten Best Plays of the Year.

His career has been varied over the years between acting, writing and directing. Mr. DiFusco has appeared in film and television and has received numerous awards.

Lili Haydn

Rolling Stone called her music "fiery and virtuosic..."   George Clinton called her "the Jimi Hendrix of the violin."

Liili has released four critically acclaimed major label recordings as a solo artist.   She is also known for her legendary collaborations; played with, sung with, and opened for everyone from Roger Waters, Herbie Hancock, Sting, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Josh Groban, Seal, Cyndi Lauper, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and George Clinton's  P-Funk All Stars to name a few.  In addition to Lili's extensive recording and touring career she is a film composer and has had her music  licensed for TV, film, and commercials.  A humanitarian and activist, Lili also performs regularly for various human rights organizations. O-Lan Jones

O-Lan Jones is a full-service artist being an award-winning actor, sound designer, writer and composer. She is the Artistic Director of OVERTONE INDUSTRIES, a company that creates new mythological operas and theatricales. Miz Jones has recently completed the first draft of her memoir THE FIRE ROAD, covering the wonder years of 14 -18 in various ghettos across the nation, plus quality time living in a hut in the Yucatan jungle.

Al. Keith

Al. Keith found an inner peace thru music at a young age while growing up on the streets Cleveland, Ohio.  Al. has played percussion, singing and recording with Southern California based bands and musicians such as, I.R.A.(International Reggae All-stars), New York Jazz Connection, Wozani, Native Sun, Liberation, Colorblind and The 714 Band and US & International tours with The Dubtet & Dave Wakeling of General Public, Michael Rose of Black Uhuru, the Bonedaddys & Victor Essiett in Nigeria & Sugar Ray. Studio sessions with MTV's Motel California with Bill Bellamy, The National Geographic's 30th Anniversary Special and the Oxygen Channel's Trackers with Wozan. He has participated as a musician in various theater productions and recently with Rian Basilio & the Roosters and John Di Fusco, in the updated version of, Tracers: The Long Way Home. Annie Korzen

Annie was the recurring Doris Klompus on Seinfeld.  She played John Turturro's mother in Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen, and Jason Alexander's sister in Neil Simon's Prisoner of 2nd Avenue with.  She has performed her solo showsYenta Unplugged and The Yenta Cometh on three continents.  Annie has put together an evening of stories called Tales from the Mouth: Failures, Fiascos, and Other Triumphs.

As a writer, Annie is the author of Bargain Junkie: Living the Good Life on the Cheap.  She has done humorous essays for NPR's Morning Edition, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and many more.  Annie was a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show, having proposed the topic:  "Ethnic Men Who Reject Their Own Women."  The late Roger Ebert suggested on Twitter that you see Annie onwww.OldJewsTellingJokes.com.  www.AnnieKorzen.com

Dan Kwong

Dan Kwong is a solo multimedia performance artist & playwright who has been performing internationally since 1989. His latest work, "WHAT? NO PING-PONG BALLS?" tells the life story of his late mother, an eccentric Japanese American artist in Los Angeles. It will premiere June 14, 15, 16 at Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica.

Theida Salazar

Salazar is a writer, song writer, poet, former U.S. Naval Intelligence Specialist (Res) combat sharp shooter who displayed his skills in the Blockbuster films: GI-JOE, Transformers, Next, etc.  He is a member of A.S,C.A.P., SAG for which he is a AFL-CIO delegate and among his credits as an actor is the Lion in the HIP HOP WIZARD OF OZ as well as the voice of many characters on The Tom Joyner Morning Radio Show Program, "It's Your World".  Salazar ran for House of Representatives in 2004 in the 44th District (GA), has started a nonprofit organization Honesty Incorporated which is comprised of Honest Doctors, Lawyers, & Teachers and is a Juris Doctorate from Abraham Lincoln School of Law.
