Chemvent & Entrepreneur Develop New Hyperhidrosis Relief Lotion

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - April 26, 2013 - PRLog -- A New Jersey entrepreneur recently contacted Chemvent, the chemical product development firm with a challenge to create a unique new lotion. The entrepreneur is a dermatologist who frequently deals with clients suffering from hyperhidrosis, a medical condition characterized by excessive sweating. Inspired by the urge to ease his clients’ overactive sweat glands, the entrepreneur called upon Chemvent’s personal care product specialists.

Chemvent’s product development team worked with the entrepreneur to discuss the desired characteristics for the new lotion. The scientists were told to create a non-oily antiperspirant cream that could be applied to hands and last through multiple hand-washes.

Product development of the lotion began by the chemists combining vasco constricting ingredients with bioactive antiperspirants to help control sweat. Next, skin softening and moisturizing oils were used to keep hands dry and soft. Special waxes and emollients were included to make the product water-resistant.

The final hyperhidrosis relief lotion was designed with a rheology consistent with high-end, rich lotions, at a much lower cost for the manufacturer and end consumer. Thanks to Chemvent and the New Jersey dermatologist, his clients will be able to use one application of the lotion for 24 hours of continuous dryness.
