BONDI JUNCTION, Australia - April 22, 2013 - PRLog -- SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (APRIL 15, 2013)- Rick Otton, property investment strategist, discussed the winning qualities of a successful property investor in a recent Creative Real Estate podcast.

Mr.Otton said, “Investors interested to enter the real estate market must be adaptable, dynamic, and resilient to any failure which he may encounter. Success comes from hard work and perseverance, without these qualities success in any field is impossible.”

He also encouraged his students to take risks, make mistakes, and apply his strategies in dynamic scenarios in the broadcast.

“Students should accept the reality that transactions never go according as planned. Alterations and changes are an essential part of structuring deals, so the end product is almost just a fragment of the original plan,” he said.

Mr.Otton is the author of “How to Buy A House for a Dollar,” and he teaches students unorthodox strategies on property investing such as buying a property without making a deposit, banking finance, or experience in real estate.

Breaking a deal

Wayne Revell, a long-term student of Mr. Otton, joined him in the special broadcast Mr. Revell is a former IT professional; he started using Mr. Otton’s creative real estate investment strategies full-time five years ago.

Mr. Revell shared some tips for first-time property investors on how to jump start their business of buying and selling houses.

“Each transaction is different, but it doesn’t mean that it’s hard,” he said. “First-time investors should work on their confidence when constructing deals between buyers and sellers, instead of focusing on how to get fast cash from the transaction.”

He also revealed that he works together with his wife in running their business, and his wife uses her networking skills to get clients.

“It’s crucial to expand your network of professionals, who can help you get business opportunities. For example, I get a large number of jobs from mortgage brokers who can’t find traditional financing for their clients,” he said.
