By: Aladdin Auto Repair Gallery http://www.yazero.com. Mahmood Rezaei-Kamalabad has been an artist and philosopher in Cambridge for over thirty years. Much of his work has focused on the uniting of the world’s three main religions towards a place of spiritual cooperation in the leadership of the world. In addition to his artistic and philosophical work, Mahmood designed "The Sense of Unity Healing Machine" in 1985. The gyro-scope like machine mimics the rotation of the earth as the person vertically secured to a stretcher within the machine experiences the rotational movements. Mahmood believes the rotational movement has health benefits on a molecular and cellular level that may be influential in today’s medical research towards finding solutions to many of the world’s health problems. During the North Cambridge Open Art Studio weekend, May 11-12, 2013, Mahmood will hold an evening discussion and demonstration of "The Sense of Unity Healing Machine" and would like to invite the public to come and experience the possibilities of the new technology. The first hour of the discussion and demonstration will be a chance to meet and greet the artist while enjoying refreshments and viewing the pieces in his gallery. During the second hour, Mahmood will do a live demonstration of "The Sense of Unity Healing Machine" and explain the theory behind the health benefits the machine may have. Similar designs have been developed more recently, such as by The GyroStim Company that has been using their gyroscope for treating those who have experienced brain trauma. Mahmood’s art and philosophy are on display at his studio and mechanic shop, the Aladdin Auto Repair Gallery. Background information: The Aladdin Auto Repair Gallery is an unlikely space to find inner peace, but in this “hidden den of spirituality aka auto shop” (quote by B.P., Yelp blogger and satisfied customer) even hints of how to attain world peace can be discovered. Surrounded by his metal sculptures, autobody-mind- All the ingredients necessary for achieving peace can be found in and around Aladdin’s. The art space and auto repair shop are one – with the universe. Wedged between two parked cars is the 1300 lb. 6’x9’ “Birth of the Moon” metal sculpture. Hoisted up on a lift in the back of the gallery / shop is Rezaei-Kamalabad’ Among the gigantic steel art objects are hung the more delicate metal sculptures. The “Double Edged Sword”, made from a leaf spring found under cars, speaks to the good in all religions. The “Hoopoe Bird” comes from the King Solomon biblical tradition of bringing no harm to any living creature. “The Idea” symbolizes peace and happiness in the world – to be attained only when individuals discover these qualities within themselves. Visitors are welcome to relax and sip on strong, spicy Persian tea while perusing Rezaei-Kamalabad’ Background of the artist/philosopher: Mahmood Rezaei-Kamalabad’s work is all about balance. He tinkers relentlessly to find that centered moment when mind, soul and body are in perfect harmony. His theory is that when the body is off-center in its orientation, the mind will also be imbalanced, and vice versa. If a single being is out of balance, then the entire universe is off kilter. One only needs to turn to nature to find examples of perfect balance and harmony. Mahmood Rezaei-Kamalabad was born in Tehran, Persia (as he prefers to call it), and since migrating to the U.S., he has received a bachelors and masters in fine art, along with credits towards a PhD, as he describes it, in “Islamic Science and Western Science under the interference wave and depth, related to holography and Islamic geometric patterns.” He has been featured on WCVB-TV’s “Chronicle” Visit http://www.yazero.com for further information on Rezaei-Kamalabad's art, his singing, and his way of life.
