The face of daycare is changing

Buffalo, NY –The face of daycare is changing. “As more and more children are exposed to technology each day, even daycare providers must implement curriculum to help children succeed in school,” says Miko Holt, owner and operator of Ready, Set, Go Center of Buffalo, LLC located in mid-town Buffalo, New York.

Miko Holt has a master’s degree in education and is committed to providing an educational daycare for parents in the heart of the city. “I developed Noelle Curriculum to incite interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) careers and decided what better time to implement the curriculum but in preschool environment,” says Holt.  After working as a substitute teacher for a number of years and teaching adult students Holt decided it was time to venture out and begin the journey of educating inside of her home.

Ready, Set, Go Center of Buffalo LLC also offers tutoring for school-aged students. Currently there are openings and according to satisfied parents, their children receive a top-quality educational experience, “Ready, Set, Go Center of Buffalo offers a great tutoring program. Both of my children receive tutoring and they have been doing a great job with their reading. My daughter was not doing so good in reading and as soon as she started, the program there was a big improvement. I am so happy I found out about this program. I Love it,” says Patricia Dallas a parent who supports Ready, Set, Go Center of Buffalo LLC.

Children who attend the daycare full-time are exposed to learning around the clock. With the exception of playtime which is in implemented in increments of fifteen minutes throughout the day. This structured learning environment includes using flashcards, computer programs, visual learning boards and arts and crafts. In fact, the family daycare center offers prospective parents a video of a preschooler who attends the full-time program identifying colors from flashcards. This video is located on the center’s Facebook page and YouTube as well.

Daycare is changing. Gone are the days when kids watched TV all day and waited for their parents to come and pick them up from daycare. Thankfully, gone are the days when children played all day inside the daycare and lacked the introduction to educational components.
