Des Moines Area Long John Silvers / Nellis Management Company Launches Teacher Appreciation Contest

DES MOINES, Iowa - April 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Long John Silvers / Nellis Management Company

April 18, 2013 – Nellis Management Company’s Des Moines’ Area Long John Silvers Restaurants are formally announcing their first Des Moines Teacher Appreciation Contest.

As a way of honoring the many teachers who have influenced the Des Moines’ area students, Nellis Management Company is launching a contest to honor and thank a teacher who has made a strong and positive impact in the community. The winning teacher will be awarded an iPad Mini.

“This contest is our way of thanking those wonderful educators who have such a powerful influence in our children’s lives and who work tirelessly to inspire and encourage them to achieve extraordinary things,” said Jon Harmsen, COO/CFO of Nellis Management Company. “This is not just about giving something back to teachers, it’s about strengthening relationships and showing our appreciation for their positive contributions to our entire community.”

The contest is accessible through the local Des Moines Long John Silver’s Facebook pages (Fleur Drive, E. University and SE 14th St. locations). Students, parents and community members are encouraged to nominate a teacher who has been influential to his or her students and to the Des Moines Community.

Nominations will be accepted through Friday, May 10th. Voting will begin on Monday, May 13th. The winning teacher will be announced Friday, May 31st.

Nellis Management Company’s contest rules require that each nominated teacher be a current employee of a Des Moines area school. Persons submitting nominations must complete each submission entirely to be valid. One nomination submission per person.
