Signal Releases Email Marketing Pre Flight Checklist

The guide, The Email Campaign Pre­Flight Checklist, has been released as a downloadable checklist and is available on the Signal website.

The Email Campaign Pre­Flight Checklist is a one­stop guide for marketers sending email marketing campaigns. A list of 20 “must dos” before sending a mass email campaign, it includes simple advice like running spell check as well as advanced items like making sure your calls to action make sense for recipients opening their email on mobile devices.

“Email marketing goes out to thousands of people from a single click,” Signal co­founder Jeff Judge says. “Once you send, you can’t correct mistakes.” He adds, “Marketers get a little nervous before sending campaigns, so we put together this checklist to help them guard against big mistakes.”

The Signal team, he says, was inspired to create guide after reading Atul Gawande’s 2009 book The Checklist Manifesto.
