Attorney Steve Katkov Appointed an Observer to the Uniform Law Commission

MINNEAPOLIS - April 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Steve Katkov, a business attorney at the Thompson Hall law firm, has been appointed an Observer to the Uniform Law Commission's "Series of Unincorporated Business Entities Act" Drafting Committee.

As part of his duties, Katkov will be reviewing the concept of the Series LLC and whether to adopt a model law for the fifty states to consider.

For over two decades, Katkov has represented business owners including a number of tech startups who could benefit from a uniform Series LLC act.

The Drafting Committee on Series of Unincorporated Business Entities will draft series provisions that can be added to some or all of the uniform unincorporated business organization acts other than the Uniform Statutory Trust Entity Act, and the committee is also authorized to draft revisions to the series provisions in USTEA if it believes such revisions are necessary.
