Volpe and Koenig, P.C. Adds New Technical Advisor, Yin Shao

April 15, 2013 - PRLog -- PHILADELPHIA (April 15, 2013) – Volpe and Koenig, P.C., an intellectual property law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Pa. and Princeton, N.J., announced today that Yin Shao has joined the firm as a technical advisor.

Shao focuses his practice on preparation and prosecution of U.S., international and foreign patent applications in the electrical and computer software fields.  His technical experience includes technologies which have been widely adopted in both wireless and optical communication systems.  Prior to joining Volpe and Koenig, Shao worked as a research engineer at NEC Laboratories America in Princeton, N.J., where he had been conducting advanced research and development on high-speed and high-capacity fiber-optic communication systems.

He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed technical papers for top-ranked journals and international conferences. Shao earned his M.S. in electrical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Ill., while investigating different modulation formats and network protocols for both wireless and optical communication systems and subsystems.  He earned his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC).
