RALEIGH, N.C. - April 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC. Today Eurus Pharma announced the nationwide availability of GeloNasal® Dry Nose Relief, a new nasal spray made from a blend of natural moisturizing oils and antioxidants. GeloNasal® delivers effective, lasting relief even in extreme conditions—far outperforming traditional saline nasal sprays. “Eurus Pharma is excited to announce GeloNasal® as an important new option for people suffering from dry nose. Dry nose is often very uncomfortable and painful, and saline sprays are just not very effective for many individuals. GeloNasal® will be a welcome solution for those that are looking for long-lasting and effective dry nose relief,” said Jarrett Disbrow, general manager of Eurus Pharma.

The skin care properties of sesame oil—the primary ingredient in GeloNasal®—have been known for centuries. Sesame oil is filled with fatty acids, including linoleic, palmitic, oleic and stearic acids, that act as emollients to help moisturize skin. GeloNasal® spray uses sesame oil to help relieve nasal irritation, nosebleeds, itching, flaking, and other symptoms of dry nose, and offer long-lasting moisture for dry and irritated nasal mucous membranes.

Compared to nasal saline, which is commonly used to treat dry nasal passages, sesame oil has been proven to be significantly more effective—GeloNasal® remains on the nasal mucosa nine times longer than saline and lasts up to three hours1. The natural oils and antioxidants in GeloNasal® soothe irritated nasal mucosa and also gently loosen crust and scabs. Plus, the fine mist spray bottle allows GeloNasal® to act gently on nasal linings. Additional information about GeloNasal® can be found at http://gelonasal.com/.

About Dry Nasal Passages
Every cell in the body needs oxygen to remain healthy—breathing air is what provides us with oxygen. We breathe in about 10,000 liters of air through our noses every day and when the nose is healthy, its job is to cleanse the entering air as well as warm and moisten it. The lining of the nose—the mucous membrane—is what enables the nose to perform these functions. Within the mucous membrane are mucous glands that release fluid to lubricate the nasal passages. Also within the membrane are hair-like structures called cilia that keep the fluid moving and also help remove toxic particles like viruses and bacteria. When there is a lack of moisture in the nasal mucosa it can no longer carry on its protective function resulting in dry, irritated—and often painful—nasal passages.

Causes of Dry Nose & Nosebleeds
Whether a result of dry air (due to the climate or change in seasons), dehydration, nasal surgery or radiation, allergies, sinus infections or another cause, dry nose can mean serious discomfort—including nosebleeds, itchy, irritated nasal passages and even pain. Stop nosebleeds and other dry nose symptoms with relief from the most effective nasal spray: GeloNasal® Dry Nose Relief.
