In light of increasing interest in Africa as the next global trade powerhouse, there are still many economic and social challenges endangering the continent’s sustainable development. SMEs and entrepreneurs face overwhelming obstacles ranging from inadequate capital and access to finance to obstructive business policies and regulatory environments. SSCG’s conference will provide a collective platform for industry leaders from businesses, governments and development communities to discuss and initiate preferable solutions to these issues. Key speakers addressing these challenges include Carolyne Akers, Head of Africa Trade Strategic Team at UKTI and Prof. Allam Ahmed, President of the World Association for Sustainable Development (WASD).
Leveraging on global experience, local knowledge and market intelligence, SSCG has taken action to drive economic development and deliver SMEs capacity building initiatives. SSCG’s conference in May has been launched to facilitate knowledge sharing and action from industry leaders and to provide on-the-ground insight into investment opportunities in Africa. Following a string of successful conferences, SSCG’s upcoming forum looks set to provide a productive platform for the development of SMEs and entrepreneurship development in Africa.
