The 4th Annual Reel Independent Film Extravaganza in Washington, DC is Still Accepting Submissions

WASHINGTON - April 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Washington, D.C. – Returning for yet another year to West End Cinema in the historic Georgetown sector of Washington, D.C., Reel Independent Film Extravaganza is still accepting film submissions in its regular submission stage.  Film submissions will be open for regular submissions until May 1, 2013.

The weeklong event will be held Friday, October 11 – Thursday, October 17, 2013.  Hosted by Skyrocket Productions, RIFE is open to all filmmakers and film lovers.  Submissions are open via www.withoutabox.com and www.ReelIndependentFilm.com now until August 2, 2013, all genres are accepted from both emerging and seasoned filmmakers.

RIFE is dedicated to supporting the artistry of independent cinema and celebrating film culture by featuring creative, innovative films.  The event will screen and celebrate local, national and international works including world premieres, RIFE exclusive spotlight selections and more.  Industry professionals will also benefit from various entertainments, networking events and an award ceremony to honor highly acclaimed festival favorites.

ABOUT THE REEL INDEPENDENT FILM EXTRAVAGANZA

The 3rd Annual Reel Independent Film Extravaganza (RIFE) is an event created BY filmmakers FOR filmmakers which takes place October 12 – 18, 2012 at West End Cinemas in the M St Georgetown sector of Washington, DC. The event, presented by Skyrocket Productions, will highlight the talents of local, national and international filmmakers, offering a diverse program and fosters public awareness of independent cinema as a cultural and educational asset.  Reel Independent Film Extravaganza aims to promote and support the artistry of independent cinema for the emerging filmmaker.  The festival is seeking films that are engaging and innovative, reflecting a distinctive vision and independent spirit.  A portion of the proceeds from the film festival will benefit breast cancer awareness in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October.
