Silken Suri Alpaca Ranch Celebrates National Alpaca Month

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. - April 15, 2013 - PRLog -- In honor of National Alpaca Month, Silken Suri Alpaca Ranch, LLC announces its grand reopening in its brand new location in Castle Rock, CO.  In conjunction with the Great Western Alpaca Show (May 3rd-5th) and the Alpaca Owner’s & Breeder’s Associations National Alpaca Show (May 17th-19th) in Denver, Silken Suri is offering a free seminar for prospective alpaca owners entitled “Getting Started with Alpacas” on Saturday, April 27th, 2013, 12pm.

New and future alpaca owners are invited to come learn what it takes to run a successful alpaca ranch.  Some topics the seminar will cover are: Choosing the Right Alpacas, Starting a Herd, Alpaca Care & Nutrition, Ranch Layout, Raising Alpacas for Profit, Tax Benefits and Alpaca Marketing.  Participants will also receive informational starter packets.  Snacks will be provided.

Silken Suri Alpaca Ranch, LLC has been featured on CBS News Sunday Morning, NPR, The Denver Post, Alpacas Magazine, and The Delicious Day.   Originally from New York City, owner & operator of Silken Suri Alpaca Ranch, LLC, Amber Isaac, is a former Broadway dresser who has worked with celebrities including Helen Hunt, Kyra Sedgwick, Paul Simon, Glenn Close, Hugh Jackman, Betty Buckley, Matthew Morrison, Brent Spiner and Faith Prince before moving to the Rocky Mountains to raise alpacas.

In 2007, after a long career working in theatrical wardrobe, Amber stumbled into the alpaca business and has never looked back.  She quickly established herself as a top-quality alpaca breeder and "marketing guru".  A generous mentor, she is always willing to share her extensive experience with new clients.  Her herd of 60+ suri alpacas boasts superb quality and diverse genetics, earning multiple championships at some of the most respected alpacas shows in the country.
