Wyoming’s premiere Pet Waste Removal and Pet Services Company strives to “Feed a Furry Friend”

LARAMIE, Wyo. - April 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Laramie, WY - The Doo House – Pet Waste Removal and Pet Services is holding a pet food drive.  Their goal is to provide assistance to non-profit shelters in need.  Non-profit shelters many times have difficulty in providing food and nutrition throughout the entire year.  Food is possibly the costliest portion of helping homeless critters and animals in our region.  The “Feed a Furry Friend” Foodraiser will run from April 16, 2013 and will end on a date to be determined in the near future.

During the “foodraiser” anyone who would like to donate can drop off any pet food at one of the four drop off locations around Laramie.  If they are unable to get to one of the drop off locations they will be able to call The Doo House and they will gladly come and pick it up for you.

“It seems like every day I hear of a new animal rescue running out of or running really short on food,” said Matthew Blaylock owner of The Doo House.  “The more I heard this the more the wheels started to spin and after talking to my wife I decided that we could try and do something about the pet food shortage, and the “Feed a Furry Friend” Foodraiser came to be.”

The “foodraiser” is not just to benefit dogs, the “foodraiser” is designed to help all pets.  Food for dogs, cats, horses and more will be accepted.  All pet food will be distributed to non-profit rescue groups on an as needed basis.  

“We could not just help dogs,” added Blaylock.  “We live in Wyoming and people have farms and farm animals too, so we need to make sure we do what we can to help out any animal that needs help.  Our hope is to turn the ‘Feed a Furry Friend’ Foodraiser into a non-profit endeavor that will help out non-profit animal rescues in Wyoming well into the future.”

The Doo House could not do this alone and would like to thank the local businesses that have come on board to help out by agreeing to be a drop off location.
