Unmanned Vehicle University Wins Overseas UAV Pilot Training Contract

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. - April 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Unmanned Vehicle University (UVU), a private University dedicated to unmanned air, ground, sea and space systems education and technical training has just won an overseas unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV) pilot and payload operator training contract. The initial increment is $435,000 for a specified period of training. UVU’s expert instructor pilots qualify the customer’s external and internal pilots and payload operators in the Aerostar UAV. Countries operating the Aerostar include the Netherlands, Turkey and Thailand.

Unmanned Vehicle University pilots have thousands of hours in many different types of UAVs including Hermes and Aerostar. Countries flying the Hermes include the UK, Brazil and Singapore. In addition to International pilot training, UVU offers outsourced manufacturer UAV pilot training. This allows the UAV manufacturers to focus on manufacturing and outsource UAV pilot training. In the USA, UAV pilots are required to receive manufacturer training to comply with the FAA policy guidance on unmanned aircraft operations using a certificate of authorization.
