2013 Viña del Mar Int'l Song Festival “Best Singer" to Perform One-Time-Only Show in Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - April 13, 2013 - PRLog -- The singer some call “a cross between the best of Mariah Carey and Celine Dion” will be performing a one-woman performance at a brunch show at Azul Tapas Inspired Restaurant & Lounge in Palm Springs on Sunday, April 14th at 12:30pm.  $15 tickets and brunch reservations are available by calling Azul directly at 760-325-5533.

King has opened for Michael Bolton and Kenny (Babyface) Edmonds, wrote the first original Christmas song to go top 20 since Mariah Carey’s "All I Want For Christmas" and recently wrote a song for the hit Nickelodeon show "Victorious"!

In February 2013, King was asked to represent the United States of America in the prestigious Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile along side Sir Elton John and the Jonas Bros, and was named “Best Singer,” winning the competition for the United States for the first time in the Festival’s 56-year history.

Kelly King, born in Atlanta, GA and raised in Nashville, TN, got a jumpstart on her career as a child prodigy at age 10, and has been performing professionally ever since.   Once Kelly decided to move to New York, during which time she performed in many Off-Broadway Shows and sang with the Duke Ellington Orchestra at the legendary venue Birdland, her career truly started taking shape.
