The wife of CGM SBI Chandigarh Circle visits the village to express

solidarity to the cause


Rajpura, April 12, 2013: - Mrs. Rita Chari, wife of CGM SBI Chandigarh Circle visited the SOS children Village, Rajpura to show her solidarity and support.  SBI, the biggest bank in India, demonstrated its commitment to the cause of social welfare through this visit. They supported to purchase capital asset item which were needed at the Rajpura Children’s Village on this occasion.

Mr. Rakesh Jinsi, Secretary General, SOS Children’s Villages of India (Based in Delhi) said, “Organizations & Corporates through their CSR initiatives and with their resources they can make a truly lasting and sustainable impact on the work done by the NGO Sector.  We appreciate the initiative of SBI Bank and we hope that they will continue and also enhance their support”

Realizing its corporate social responsibility, SBI Bank endeavours to work towards the betterment of the children of the village. The event witnessed Mrs. Chari take a round of the village. She was accompanied by approximately 4-5 representatives of the bank and members of the ladies club.

The bank has been actively involved in non-profit activities since 1973.
