Pink VW Beetle brings wedded bliss as the "Luv Bug"

LAS VEGAS - April 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Las Vegas, NV. More and more Las Vegas couples are opting out of traditional wedding venues and creating their own magic with off-beat locations around town. At-home weddings,  sidewalks, vacant lots, antique stores, -even tattoo parlors are becoming more and more popular for the marriage ceremony. Many engaged couples are looking for a break from tradition, and making their wedding day more fun. Rev. Tim Rowland and his wife, Pam, provide that opportunity through a pink Volkswagen New Beetle known as the Luv Bug.

“I am grateful to still be alive,” says Rev. Tim, “and I feel like I’d like to use the rest of my time here helping couples celebrate their love. Bringing together a memorable wedding day experience for our couples is made all the sweeter for me because I get to do it with My Love” he continued, referring to his wife of almost 20 years.

After a massive heart attack and emergency triple-bypass surgery on Valentine’s Day three years ago, Rev. Tim knew that things would have to change. Taking a break from full-time ministry, he continued to perform weddings at Las Vegas chapels to support his family.

Rev. Tim and his wife, Pam, decided that they really enjoyed working together, and that they liked helping people celebrate special moments in their lives in unique ways. So rather than finding another church project to tackle together, they decided to launch a unique wedding service. When the idea of the Luv Bug came to them, they knew it had to be a VW Beetle. And if it was a wedding beetle, it had to be pink!

“I’ve performed thousands of weddings for over 15 years in almost two-dozen different Las Vegas wedding chapels, as well as traditional church ceremonies, but I love the smaller, unique settings.” Rev. Tim muses, “It should reflect the couple’s personality. That’s why we say we provide ‘Weddings as unique as you are!’”

The Luv Bug will meet the couple at their chosen ceremony location, perform the wedding ceremony, and take photos. Many couples opt for photos afterward with the Luv Bug as a memory-maker.
